We are committed to offering children healthy, nutritious and balanced meals including snacks which meet individual needs and requirements.
Here at Hollins Wood Childcare we believe all children should receive healthy, balanced and nutritious meals.
With this in mind all meals are planned for nutritional needs and we can cater for any special diet your child may require. We provide breakfast up until 8.30 in the morning. A mid-morning snack of juice or milk and fruit followed by a two course cooked lunch from 11am for the younger children and around mid-day for our pre-schoolers, then a light tea is served between 3.00pm - 4.00pm.
Our menus are reviewed regularly with an emphasis on fresh, quality produce and we offer a variety of menus to develop children’s taste. We also provide appropriate, home made, baby food.
All food is tried and tested before becoming a regular item on the menu and all of our kitchen team are fully qualified with training being regularly reviewed and updated. We are so confident about the quality of our meals we regularly invite parents in to dine with their children.
We have a number of water filters accessible around the nursery ensuring the children are sufficiently hydrated throughout the day. Our Kitchen Team continue to maintain high levels of hygiene and therefore are again rewarded with a Food Hygiene Rating of 5.
